Reading/Language Arts Theme 12 revisits the comprehension strategy of synthesizing. Students will classify and categorize information from their reading to help them better understand what they're reading. We will continue to work with more prefixes and discuss what makes a good narrative.
Math The last week has been spent reviewing multiple skills and test taking strategies to help students solve math problems to the best of their abilities.
Social Studies Students did a FANTASTIC job on the ABC's of the American Revolution. They worked very hard and really seemed to enjoy themselves. If you are in the building, please stop at the 3U wall to take a look. This week and next 3U's work will be hanging up. Immediately following that, 3M will have their hard work displayed. Again, GREAT JOB!! Students are now learning about Pioneers. Religion We have begun our God's Gift Eucharist workbook to prepare for First Holy Communion. The second retreat will be tomorrow, Saturday, April 9 from 9am to 12pm. This is for both first communicants, and their parent(s). Teachers discussed the concepts of secrets and which ones are okay secrets and which ones are not okay to keep. Students discussed a variety of okay and not okay secrets and whom should they tell, a trusted adult, if it's not an okay secret.
