Be sure to check your child's Home Binder for a Jog-A-Thon sheet if you have not received one yet.
Religion
This week we discussed God as the Creator of all good things. We also discussed how we pray to the Trinity.
We had Mass last Tuesday in the Historic Church with our unit, grades 3-5.
ELA
We continue to work on our Making Connections reading strategies. Students took their second spelling test today. Students are working on creating a story to include the story elements of characters, setting, and a plot (problem & solution). We will be writing final drafts next week or two.
Math
Students have discussed different ways we use numbers and have reviewed how a number grid has patterns and can be used.
Social Studies
Today we observed a school wide moment of silence in remembrance of the 9/11 attacks. The children had many thoughtful questions regarding these events. The questions were answered with developmentally appropriate answers. If your child has any other questions about the 9/11 attacks, please discuss them as you deem appropriate.
